After 15 years as a donor advisor for a variety of regional, national, and international non-profit organizations, Beth McKinley (she/her) transitioned her experience in charitable gift planning to the financial services industry. As Associate Wealth Advisor at Roots Financial Group at Thrivent, Beth provides holistic financial planning services to our clients. Her special areas of focus is on serving those who want to include giving in their financial plan, helping women feel confident in their financial future, working with small business owners in transition, and prioritizing the needs of the LGBTQ+ community and allies.

Professionally, Beth has earned the Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) designation and is a recipient of the Greater PA Chapter of Women in Insurance and Financial Services (WIFS) Woman of the Year award. She is also a member the Keystone Business Alliance, the LGBT Chamber of Commerce in Central PA. She was the first Chair for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging for the Carlisle Branch of AAUW, and recently served as Co-chair for the ELCA Lower Susquehanna Synod’s LGBTQIA+ Affirming Taskforce. Additionally, Beth continues to support local fundraising efforts as an active volunteer, where she currently serves on the Board of Directors for YWCA of Carlisle and Cumberland County, the Development Committee for Project Share, and the Engagement and Events Committee for the Fund for Women and Girls at TFEC.
